Spent the summer making cups. This is a new endeavor for me as I usually consider myself to be a sculptor. I simply reached a point where I wanted to do a lot of surface experimentation and cups seemed an easy answer. As I'm sure all you functional potters know already, this is not true. There is nothing easy about making a successful functional object. I learned a lot from the process and am still learning as I continue to try to perfect the cups. I had a lot of failures, but some successes as well. Hopefully as time goes on they will get o be good.
I wanted to comment on this a long time ago, but apparently SCAD doesn't like commenting pages and consider it a virus. Whatever, but I love the new cups!
