I've been working on this sculpture for the last week.

Today I decided it was time to hollow it out.  This always feels a little bit disturbing to me, dismembering something I have been working so hard to make look human.  This one is particularly disturbing to me since I am basing the figure on my father.  This is the hollowing in progress.

This is the figure reassembled.  I will add hands tomorrow and then finish the rest of the parts of the piece.
